Eve (Wall-E)
Worn For: BasementCon 2011, Alterna-Otakon Con 2011 (Saturday), Dragon*Con 2011 (Saturday Evening), New York Comic Con 2011 (Thursday)
I adore the movie Wall-E, and I really love Eve. My sister had a white wig sitting around, and I was struck by the idea to try and put together an Eve cosplay! I had lots of ideas. There were sketches. I got the goggles and the gun, I bought black and blue lipstick, I even bought a white leotard. That didn't quite feel right though. Then I decided to go for a dress! Feeling the need to debut something at BasementCon 2011, like I did Azula in 2010, a fire was lit under me that sent me out looking for just the right one.
The black and blue lipstick is meant to suggest the electric shock she produces when she "kisses" Wall-E. I thought all blue looked strange, but adding black balanced it out. Unfortunately the black is a little difficult and takes me a while to do... I kind of fail with make-up. ^-^;
Anyway, this costume is very comfy and I had lots of fun finding my inner Eve. <3 I also got to make a little "Christmas Eve" variant that is all kinds of fun to wear and comes with me wrapped in Christmas lights. :)
